A British director, producer and writer who began his career directing horror movies such as The Beast Must Die (1974), Annett then found success on the small screen directing 7 episodes of the first series of Poldark (1975-1976). He was also an accomplished soap opera director and regularly helmed episodes of Eastenders (1998-2009).
