A heavyweight boxer who fought for a version of the world title, Morrison was a grand-nephew of John Wayne and took on one high profile acting role. Impressed with his pugilistic talents Sylvester Stallone wrote the part of young pretender Tommy ‘the Machine’ Gunn for him in Rocky V (1990).
