A British actor who amassed more than 100 credits during his 60 year career, Watson became best known later in his career for his role as the Brigadier in The Darling Buds of May (1991-1993). He was also an established theatre actor, while his most notable film credits included The Grass Is Greener (1960) and The Sea Wolves (1980).
