Once an assistant to director John Huston, McClory's cinematic legacy lies with one film - Thunderball (1965). The source of much litigation, McClory claimed co-authorship and was co-producer on the film and a belated remake, Never Say Never Again (1983). He also wrote and directed The Boy And The Bridge (1958).
