Rue McClanahan

Although she had acted on screen since the 1960s McClanahan only found international fame as the man-eating Blanche Devereaux in The Golden Girls (1985-92), a character she reprised in the spin-off The Golden Palace (1992-93). Other work includes a long running supporting role in the Bea Arthur sitcom Maude (1972-78).
