One of Britain’s greatest comic actors, Rik Mayall formed long-standing double act with Adrian Edmondson after meeting and Manchester University in the 1970s. He brought his outrageous style to a number of iconic roles including Rick in The Young Ones (1982-1984), Flashheart in Blackadder (1986-1989) Alan B’Stard in The New Statesman (1987-1994) and Richie in Bottom (1991-1995).
