An American actress best known for her hugely successful and influential sitcom The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977), Tyler Moore initially found fame as Laura in The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966). She won seven Emmy awards for her television work, and also received BAFTA and Oscar nominations for her role in Ordinary People (1980).
