A respected figure in the cricket world, Martin-Jenkins was the BBC correspondent through two spells, from 1973-1981 and 1984-1991 which made him a familiar face (and voice) on television and radio. Subsequently cricket correspondent for The Daily Telegraph and The Times, he also wrote over 20 books on the sport.
