An American screenwriter who served as story and script consultant on all 120 episodes of TV’s Batman (1966-1968) which he also developed, Semple Jr was also wrote two of cinema’s great conspiracy thrillers; The Parallax View (1974) and Three Days of Condor (1975). His other credits included Papillon (1973) and Flash Gordon (1980).
