A former literary agent, Lawson produced a wide range of television programmes as an independent producer. These included TV movie Murrow (1986), dramatic feature The Dawning (1988), sitcoms That’s Love (1988) and Life After Life (1990), the drama Natural Lies (1992) and miniseries The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous (1997).
