A British television writer known best for his sitcoms, Larbey worked with his writing partner John Esmonde for 30 years on shows including Please Sir! (1968-1972), The Good Life (1975-1978) and Ever Decreasing Circles (1984-1989). Larbey also wrote alone and was responsible for the Judi Dench starring A Fine Romance (1981-1984) and As Time Goes By (1992-2005).
