Best known for her performance as the heroine in House of Wax (1953), Kirk reunited with director Andre de Toth for the western Thunder Over The Plains (1953) and film noir Crime Wave (1954). She found further success playing Nora Charles in the TV series of The Thin Man (1957-59).
