A British actor best known for his sitcom work, Jones was the star of The Squirrels (1974-1977) but was best known for his supporting role as ‘Horrible’ Ives in Porridge (1974-1975). He other work included seven episodes of The Wednesday Play (1965-1979) including five directed by Ken Loach, and The Nesbitts Are Coming (1980).
