A British actor who was best known for his role as the lothario husband David Pearce in the sitcom Duty Free (1984-1986), Barron was a stalwart of British television for some 60 years. He also memorably starred as the disillusioned politician Nigel Barton in two of Dennis Potter’s The Wednesday Play (1965).
