A television journalist of formidable rigour and intellect, Kee made his name reporting for Panorama (1958) and ITV’s This Week (1968) among others, as well as making his masterful documentary series Ireland: A Television History (1979-81). He gained even wider fame amid the starry names of TV-am’s launch in 1983.
