Jimmy Sangster

2 December 1927 to 18 August 2011

A prolific British screenwriter synonymous with Hammer horror, Sangster was the writer of such early hits as The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Dracula (1958) and The Mummy (1959). Later films include Maniac (1963), The Nanny (1965) and The Anniversary (1968). He also directed Fear In The Night (1972), among others.
