A British actress best known for her role in the groundbreaking The Gentle Touch (1980-1984), Gascoine’s Detective Inspector Maggie Forbes was the first female lead in a British cop drama. She went on to star in C.A.T.S. Eyes (1985-1987) and other notable credits included Rooms (1977) and The Onedin Line (1979).
