An imposing American actor who found stardom on television, Gandolfini was best known for his lead role in the HBO series The Sopranos (1999-2007). His movie work includes eye-catching performances in True Romance (1993), Mr Wonderful (1993), In The Loop (2009), Killing Them Softly (2012), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Enough Said (2013) and The Drop (2014).
