Jacques Rivette

A French writer and director who was one of the key figures of the French New Wave, Rivette consistently created stimulating and challenging cinema over his 50-year career. His most notable credits include L’amour fou (1969), Out 1 (1971), Celine and Julie Go Boating (1974) and the Cannes award-winning La Belle Noiseuse (1991).
