Best known for his role as Mike Gambit in the cult TV series The New Avengers (1976-77), Hunt's background in rep was reflected in some diverse acting credits on stage and screen. Other highlights include Upstairs, Downstairs (1974-75), Michael Winner's A Chorus of Disapproval (1988) and more recently, EastEnders (2001).
