An actor equally comfortable on stage, screen or radio, Hodgson was a man of many talents. He was familiar for guest appearances in series such as The Avengers (1966), Rumpole of the Bailey (1979) and Inspector Morse (1987). He was also, for a time, on the board of Oakhurst Films.
