A Japanese actor who was best known for portraying the iconic monster Godzilla, Najajima was the man inside the suit for the first 12 films in the franchise from Godzilla (1954) to Godzilla vs Gigan (1972). He amassed over 100 credits during his career and notably appeared in Akira Kurosowa’s Seven Samura (1954).
