A British actor best known for his iconic role in the long-running sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo (1982-1992), Kaye starred in all 85 episodes as the stereotypically French café patron, René Artois, who found himself dragged into the war by the English and Germans. His other notable credits included Coronation Street (1969-1970) and Brazil (1985).
