George Sewell

After establishing himself with Joan Littlewood's Theatre Workshop, Sewell found himself in great demand on television. It was Special Branch (1973-74) that made him a household name, with other highlights including Z Cars (1965-67) and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (1979). Films include Sparrows Can't Sing (1963) and Get Carter (1971).
