Closely associated with the work of David Lean, trusted confidant Fowlie served in a range of roles for the director. After working on The Bridge On The River Kwai (1957) the collaboration continued with Lawrence Of Arabia (1962), Doctor Zhivago (1965), Ryan’s Daughter (1970) and A Passage To India (1984).
