Emmanuelle Riva

A French actress best known for a pair of films that came towards the beginning and end of her career, Riva was BAFTA-nominated for Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) and won a BAFTA over 40 years later for Michael Haneke’s Amour (2012). Her other notable credits included Kapo (1960), Leon Morin (1961) and Three Colours: Blue (1993).
