David Swift

3 April 1931 to 8 April 2016

A British actor best known for the newsroom satire Drop The Dead Donkey (1990-2008), Swift found fame as the vain news anchor Henry Davenport. He also notably starred in War & Peace (1972), Vanity Fair (1987) and Oscar Charlie (2001-2002), and away from acting ran a number of successful film production and post-production businesses.
