A British journalist whose career began at Reuters before he was recruited by the BBC in 1966, Sells was a foreign correspondent serving both radio and television. During his 40 years with the corporation he was notably one of the presenters of Radio 4’s World Tonight and was a stalwart on Newsnight (1980-2006).
