A British actor best known on the big screen for his role as Bob Cratchit opposite Albert Finney in Scrooge (1970), Collings began his career on the stage before becoming a cult favourite of British sci-fi fans. He notably appeared in UFO (1970), three Doctor Who serials (1975, 1977, 1983) and Sapphire and Steel (1981-1982).
