After RAF service during wartime Guyana born Grant became familiar on British television on Tonight (1957-60), ending each show with a topical calypso. He also voiced a character in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967-68) and starred in films including Shaft In Africa (1973) and At The Earth’s Core (1976).
