An American producer who specialised in musicals for the stage and screen alongside his longtime producing partnership Neil Meron, Zadan’s first credit came producing Footloose (1984). He went on to work on films including Chicago (2002) and Hairspray (2007), numerous live television musical adaptations, and three Oscar telecasts.
