A British broadcaster and journalist, Cooper’s career in radio began in South-East Asia where he worked on Radio Malaya for a decade. Back in Britain he worked on World In Action (1963-1965) and Tomorrow’s World (1965-1975) before finding literary success writing about food, leading him to present Radio 4’s The Food Programme (1979-2001).
