With Madelyn Pugh, Carroll created one of the defining sitcoms of American television's Golden Age: I Love Lucy (1951). They also wrote for each of the four ensuing TV vehicles for star Lucille Ball over the next three decades. Other credits include The Whiting Girls (1955-57) and The Mothers-In-Law (1967-69).
