A familiar face from his television performances, including I Woke Up One Morning, Saracen and Casualty, Caffrey's most popular role was as Padraig in Ballykissangel (1996-98). Also working in theatre and occasionally film, his big screen outings came in Venus Peter (1989), I Went Down (1997) and Night Train (1998).
