Best known as David ‘Bing’ Crosbie in Brookside (1992-98), Burgess was also active on stage. His film appearances include Give My Regards to Broad Street (1984) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) with The Ruth Rendell Mysteries (1988-92), Eastenders (1988-89) and Midsomer Murders (2004-08) among his other television work.
