An Australian actor and comedian, Kerr found fame as the foil to Tony Hancock in the BBC radio show Hancock’s Half Hour (1954-1959). He went on to star in The Dam Busters (1955), Compact (1964-1965), Doctor Who (1967-1968) and alongside Spike Milligan in The Bed Sitting Room (1963).
