Anne Wiazemsky

A French actress who was best known for her first film role, Wiazemsky was untrained when she landed the lead role in Robert Bresson’s Au Hasard Balthazar (1966). She collaborated with her then partner Jean-Luc Goddard on La Chinoise (1967) and Sympathy for the Devil (1968), and became a fixture of French arthouse cinema.
