The BAFTA / Creative Skillset Guest Lecture Programme

The BAFTA / Creative Skillset Guest Lecture Programme, formed in partnership with BAFTA and Creative Skillset, consists of a series of guest lectures that aim to bring the brightest creative and technical ‘behind the scenes talent’ from the world of film, television and games together with the next generation of creative and technical talent.
Now in its second year, the BAFTA Creative Skillset Guest Lecture Programme is a series of industry guest lectures aiming to bring the brightest creative and technical ‘behind the scenes talent’ from the world of film, television and games to with the next generation of creative and technical talent. The lectures will be delivered to students on Creative Skillset Ticked courses at universities across the UK ie. those institutions that have been identified as providing the best professional development for the existing workforce and for new entrants.
Drawing on the legacy of their five annual awards ceremonies, BAFTA will invite past winners and nominees to deliver informative sessions offering invaluable insights and inspiration to students within their field. The 2013 Guest Lecturers included BAFTA-winning screenwriter Neil McKay
(Appropriate Adult, Mo) at Liverpool John Moore University, Siobhan Reddy from Media Molecule
(studio behind Little Big Planet) at Norwich University of the Arts and DoP Rob Hardy (The Invisible Woman, Shadow Dancer) at Napier University. Like 2013, the 2014 lecture series will be delivered across a range of creative and technical fields across film, television and games, and all will stress the importance students developing their creativity alongside their business and technical skills.
