Dare To Be Digital London Launch Event 2013

If you're a student at a College of Art or University, come along to learn more about Dare To Be Digital 2013, the international games design competition where your team could win £2500 and a BAFTA Ones to Watch Award.

2012's nominees are Starcrossed (a 2D Rocket Jumping Action in Space game for Windows 7), Project Thanatos (a first-person psychological horror game for the PC and Sensics zSight headset) and Pixel Story (a puzzle solving game for the PC), with results to be announced at the BAFTA Games Awards in March.

Each year, teams of 5 students - usually a mix of programmers, artists, and audio - spend 9 weeks from June to August at Abertay University to develop a prototype video game, with advice from industry mentors. So, even if you already know about the competition, these sessions are a good opportunity to find other team members.

Places go very quickly so be sure to book now - and we'll throw in a FREE beer!
