Nolan Bushnell, collected the Academy;s highest achievement - the Fellowhip at the GAME British Academy Video Games Awards in 2009.

Blue Peter Presenter Konnie Huq presented the Gameplay Award to Robert Bowling for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (BAFTA / James Kennedy).

Over 60,000 people voted for their favourite video game in the BAFTA Game Award 2008.

Boro-Toro is nominated for the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award in association with Dare to Be Digital. The game  from DarkMatter Designs is a side scrolling platform puzzle using an innovative control system using Wii technology.

Sports - Race Driver: GRID Barry Caudill celebrates his win in the Strategy category for Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. The mask was presented by Barbara Follett MP (BAFTA / James Kennedy). Strategy - Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution Alex Zane presented the Use of Audio Award to Jason Graves and co-creator of Dead Space Glen Schofield, on behalf of Don Veca. Jason Graves later picked up the Original Score BAFTA for the same game (BAFTA / James Kennedy).
