Director Greengrass began in documentaries before moving into factual dramas with the critically acclaimed Bloody Sunday and The Murder Of Stephen Lawrence. Moving into film, he gave Bond a run for his money with The Bourne(s) Supremacy and Ultimatum. He also directed the 9/11 reconstruction United 93.

Like with any craft, doing it gets you better, doing it gives you confidence, doing it allows you to make mistakes.

In the full BAFTA Guru video, recorded at Latitude Festival, Greengrass discusses with Simon Mayo the emotional intensity of creating such films and the deep responsibility that comes with recreating real life tragic events. He explains how the film-making process often leaves him awed by the collective power of those he is privileged enough to work with.
