The public voted for the Transformers star from among an extremely strong list of nominees including Sienna Miller, Ellen Page, Sam Riley and Tang Wei. The winner was announced by last year's winner, Eva Green, at the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2008.

Shia LaBeouf Biography

Shia Labeouf has quickly become one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors starring in films such as Transformers, Disturbia and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints as well as a voiceover role in the animated tale Surf's Up. After receiving his Award he starred in the fourth Indiana Jones instalement, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
