COMMENTS

Please answer the simple sum below.

carole miles

(20-25-2011)

"Okay, is this the place for comments about 2011 nominations? CAUSE I'M READY."

oOoOKStewartoOoO

(21-34-2010)

"Kristeeeen you are the best!!!"

Laura Stidham

(21-19-2010)

"Kristen has already shown a great range with films such as Into the Wild, Adventureland and The Cake Eaters--this years looks to be very impressive with Welcome to the Rileys and The Runaways."

James

(18-51-2010)

"The Hurt Locker all the way! Good luck to Ms Bigelow and everyone involved in the best American film of last year!"

Clive

(17-22-2010)

"I guess it was only me that thought The Hide was worthy of Outstanding British Film nomination. Excellent performances too."

Victor Ochoa

(15-48-2010)

"I would have liked to see Sharlto Copley get Best Actor for District 9. He really got shafted, poor guy."

Ellis

(15-47-2010)

"Why isn't Harry Brown in the Outstanding British Film nominations? Surely that deserves one, considering it tells the story of everyday Britain?"

Josh

(12-46-2010)

"Such a relief to see Saoirse Ronan for leading actress. She's completely astounding in The Lovely Bones. I'd quite like to see Kristen Stewart win the rising star award, because despite the evidence of Twilight, she's actually a very good actress."

Charlotte Page

(10-28-2010)

"Creation was so good. British and brave. It's as if nobody has a memory . How can it be overlooked? The costumes were just as wonderful as any other period piece (and that seems to be the criteria for a nomination) but the performances (Paul Bettany didn't even make a long list!!?) were brilliant and the screenplay and the music ... I can go on. It's a real shame."

Dave

(10-25-2010)

"Christoph Waltz was brilliant in IB, I hope he wins supporting actor. Cannot believe Sam Rockwell didnt get a nomination for moon!!!"

Ayman Azmi

(04-02-2010)

"I think Inglorious Basterds & District 9 should of been nominated for best film & Watchmen should of got some nominations too."

Andrew

(04-02-2010)

"If BAFTA used a different system (i.e. let the chapters nominate instead of the whole membership), Bright Star would be sitting on 5 nominations. Now it has one. It deserves more."

Simon Lawrence

(04-00-2010)

"I really hope Andy Serkis wins for Sex and Drugs and Rock n Roll. Easily the most outstanding performance by a male actor this year. Both funny and touching and great performing the songs too!"

Ian Cruickshank

(02-09-2010)

"No Sam Rockwell - Are they mad? Good luck Moon. Hope it gets both awards."

matthew niemc

(29-58-2010)

"i agree about rockwell. best acting in a decade"

Pete

(28-18-2010)

"Sam Rockwell really should have gotten a nomination."

rebi

(27-49-2010)

"I really hope that this year Meryl Streep will win. And of course the Oscar."

Denise

(27-16-2010)

"I'm amazed there's no nomination for Viggo Mortensen."

kieran hardcastle

(27-09-2010)

"No single nod for Watchmen? easily my favourite film from this past year."

L.J

(27-03-2010)

"I can't believe how much The Young Victoria has been overlooked particularly Rupert Friend's brilliant performance as Prince Albert. Worthy of a supporting nod at the very least. "

JuPaDeIr

(25-15-2010)

"Can we see this Award on TV outside the UK? I really want to see it. "

Lisa Brady

(25-14-2010)

"Here's hoping Colin Firth gets the best actor award and an Oscar nom (with his choices it's not likely to happen again). At the end of the Golden Globes red carpet pre-show he was interviewed with his wife. She said she was wearing an old wedding dress reworked and went on to say she was going to challenge others to do the same. At awards presentations/shows?! Anyway, I hope she wears her beaded smiley face t-shirt dress at the Oscars. Joan Rivers is heading the fashion police this year. "

mimi

(25-13-2010)

"GABOUREY SIDIBE in the movie Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire should win - fantastic acting, a must see film."

M. Cambell

(25-12-2010)

"Blomkamp v. Cameron. Will vision win out over money? Let's hope so."

Hollis

(24-43-2010)

"Should The Hurt Locker receive the Visual Effects Award? I think so."

M M

(24-41-2010)

"Colin Firth deserves to win. Let us hope that BAFTA is willing to reward true excellence, and not emulate Golden Globes and Oscars in adulating celebrity. Particularly closer to home."

Godfrey

(24-41-2010)

"@ Antti Martin - totally agree Where The Wiled Things Are got completely snubbed! No Adapted Screenplay nomination... Really?"

Israel Medina

(24-35-2010)

"Chris Waltz will be the winner for best supporting actor, in fact i think he had the best performance, including supporting and leading actor this year... and I agree with the person who said that Avatar is getting too many nominations... a good movie, but not the best in 2009."

Andy Hoach

(24-34-2010)

"Jade should win the short category. Saw it at the Berlin festival. Beautiful piece. Expect to see big things from Aisling Loftus."

Joe Bua

(24-33-2010)

"Kristen Stewart? The mopey girl from the Vampires-With-Feelings movie? Are you kidding me? No matter, Carey will win."

Charles Bright

(24-33-2010)

"Think the nominations are a great representation of this year's cinema, but how did "Inglourious Basterds" lose out on a nod for Best Film? Was "An Education" really better than Tarantino's "Basterds"?"

Jack Arbuthnott

(24-32-2010)

"Why oh why has Peter Lambert not been nominated for the Orange Rising Star Award? His work as the voice of Romeo on "The Twilight Saga, New Moon" was terrific."

Russell Richards

(24-32-2010)

"I must add my support for Bright Star. A beautiful movie that will be a joy to me forever. I can only assume that it had remained unseen by many..."

Mike

(24-31-2010)

"What a joke. Not a single British nomination for Sound (again)."

Ankita

(24-29-2010)

"Where is Sandra Bullock? She deserved the award for The Blind Side...at least a nomination must be given. Best of Luck to Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges and Avatar."

Edmund

(24-28-2010)

"Its sure that James Cameron will win best SFX, and mabye all the other categorys he is in. You Can see they have got a bit desparate on the animated film awards. UP should win, but I get an anoying sence that disturbing Coarline will win. I think Andy Seriks will the best leading actor . I am supried Robert Dowey Jr is not in for his brilliant shercloc in Sherloc Holmes. Yet I am also surprised that where the wild things are is not up for an award"

Louise Cooper-Gamson

(24-27-2010)

"I am saddened to see "The Road" only got 1 nomination."

Natasha Spiller

(24-24-2010)

"So glad to see Avatar nominated for so many awards, it really deserves it. Amazing film! Same with Star Trek, good film that deserves the awards it has been nominated for."

Amit Chauhan

(22-39-2010)

"Best Actress for sure is Meryl Strepp for Julie and Julia. But hey! Sandra Bullock deserved the nomination for The Blind Side."

Lesa Smith

(22-39-2010)

"I am quite upset that Avatar is getting nominations. Obviously it's visually stunning but I don't think it deserves to be nominated for best film and director. Technical awards yes, but not for best film."

Marcin

(22-38-2010)

"Disappointed not to see Sam Rockwell nominated :/"

Amy Buckley

(22-38-2010)

"The leading actress award looks promising for Meryl Streep, she's already won a Golden Globe and the Critic's Choice Award for her role in Julie & Julia and i think she deserves a BAFTA for her role too - a truly great actress!"

Jose Manuel

(22-37-2010)

"Definitely, the year's best film was Basterds (not in the best picture category). Sandra Bullock very average acting in the Blind Side film does not deserve nomination. And the best Film not in the English Language has to be Let the Right One In. "

Leonie Ellis

(22-35-2010)

"Congratulations Luke Snellin on your short film nomination from 2AM Films. "

Vivian Devoe

(22-35-2010)

"I am so excited to see Meryl Streep nominated for a BAFTA, she is so deserving of this award. Also happy to see Alec Baldwin and Colin Firth nominated."

Jack Arbuthnott

(22-35-2010)

"Why no nomination for Peter Lambert, editor of The Twilight Saga: New Moon? I'd have thought this was a given."

Lorin Messerli

(22-34-2010)

"Where is Julianne Moore? She's such a great actress."

Antti Martin

(22-34-2010)

"Where the Wild Things Are got snubbed. It should have been nominated for Best Film, Adapted Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design and Music, Spike Jonze for Best Director and Max Records for Leading Actor. Easily the best film of last year."

Amar P

(22-33-2010)

"How in the world has Dev Patel not been nominated for the Orange Rising Star Award? Also, no Sandra Bullock?"

Barbara Rueckher

(21-48-2010)

"Okay Lisa, looks like things are starting to go your and Colin Firth's way. But it's not going to help - he'll appear in any crap just to get out of the house. "

Patrick

(21-38-2010)

"No cinematography, production design, sound, visual effects for The Lovely Bones?!! I thought at least this film would score big in the technicals! Where the hell is Viggo Mortensen for The Road and Joe Penhall for Adapted Screenplay? Well, the only decisions I'm happy with on this list is Javier Aguirresarobe being nominated for his work on The Road---that's a long awaited recognition! Finally Saoirse Ronan is being recognized for her performance! And, I didn't see the film, but I've been waiting for Andy Serkis to be nominated for some time now; he's a great actor."

Frank Comiskey

(21-42-2010)

"I know he's rich enough and esteemed enough not to care, but it's a shame for Michael Caine who gave an excellent turn as Harry Brown, in a film with as-much social relevance, (but a good deal more populist accessibility) than at least one low-budget housing estate film on the list. It could be that his very brave BAFTA Fellowship speech is not forgotten by some members..."

Karen Richards

(21-25-2010)

"I cannot believe the miserly nominations for Bright Star which was an absolute delight of a film!"

Rich

(21-16-2010)

"What about Sam Rockwell for Moon?? Should have got at least a screenplay nod as well, if not best film and director. Knocks that other sci-fi nonsense into a cocked hat!"

Andrew

(21-11-2010)

"How could Bright Star get 5 chapter nominations and miss out on all of them except Costume?"

Tom M

(21-45-2010)

"Oh, I had hoped Harry Potter would finally get recognised for Cinematography. Loads of reviews praised it for that. But as usual, BAFTA lives in its own little world. Yay, for Saoirse Ronan and Gabourey Sidibe, but the rest is the usual BAFTA same old, same old. Avatar? Really? Great effects, average film."

Rita

(21-12-2010)

"Where are the Bright Star nominations? "

Sarah

(21-04-2010)

"No, no, no, how can Bright Star not have been shortlisted for the cinematography award? Such a beautiful film. "

felixmouse

(21-00-2010)

"There's no Sandra Bullock because The Blind Side is not released in the UK until after the Bafta Ceremony - which means it does not qualify for this year's awards. She will qualify for next year, though."

Sandra

(21-25-2010)

"@Mike I thought Sandra Bullock did a great job in The Blind Side so a nomination wouldn't have been that off. I could find many other nominations which would have been off than hers. Other than that I'm pretty happy with the nominations. "

Emile

(21-25-2010)

"I'm with mike, thank god Sandra Bullock is out, she should be doing Miss Congeniality 3 not awards season! Very pleased to see Kristin Scott Thomas nominated! Love her!"

mike

(21-01-2010)

"...no Sandra Bullock is fine, thank you very much. She doesn't belong in any awards category. "

annie2shoes

(21-00-2010)

"Colin Firth deserves the BAFTA for his luminous performance in A Single Man!"

Frans

(21-06-2010)

"Leading Actress without Sandra Bullock???"

Annie Davidson

(20-07-2010)

"Great to see Fish Tank andrea Arnold and Katie Jarvis on the list, by far the best british film the year and Andrea and Katie receiving the well deserved awards and nominations across the globe.Katie and Andrea both winning at the bifa's and Edingburgh, and major noms at the European Film awards. Fantastic film and up and coming stars Katie Jarvis in particular, but also Rebbecca Griffiths and Charlotte Collins the other Essex girls."

Lucy in the sky with diamondd

(20-00-2010)

"What a Britfilm smorgasbord this year - sex n drugs, nowhere boy, moon, fish tank. although precious and district 9 deserve support. But hey, lets' buy British this year! "

Miriam

(20-36-2010)

"I hope to see Mr. Alan Rickman in the final nominations, he really deserves it because of his amazing Severus Snape. Nobody could have played this rol like him, he is absolutely gorgeous."

emily from Norway

(19-45-2010)

"I thought St Trinians 2 the Legend of Fritons Gold would be nominated as it's a British film and i did wish David Tennant would win for best supporting actor."

Craig Kell

(19-19-2010)

"Please let Capaldi get nominated, funniest performance of the last decade!"

Lisa Brady

(19-26-2010)

"I think it's imperative that the best actor award go to Colin Firth. Since his film career is filled with tired, lousy little movies (ever see NOSTROMO, LAST LEGION, BRIDGET JONES 2, LONDONIUM - stop me!) and he now has a really fine film to his credit directed by someone with vision and talent, perhaps a win will force Colin, before it's too late, to show some discrimination in his choice of movies/roles in the future. ENOUGH SAID? "

Andrew

(18-55-2010)

"Please please please BAFTA give some love to the much-snubbed brilliant Bright Star!!"

Marley

(18-26-2010)

"I agree with Sarah H, no Tom Hardy for Bronson?? "

Sarah H

(17-15-2010)

"I am absolutely staggered that Tom Hardy has not been recognized for lead actor in "Bronson?" Unbelievable."

Vincent Van Cleemput

(15-47-2010)

"I really hope to see Mélanie Laurent in the final nominations because that was true acting! And too bad not to see Sandra Bullock as a potential nominee. Really hope Mélanie makes it..."

Pauline

(15-44-2010)

"Go Alan! His Severus Snape is masterful ... and lord knows what lies on the cutting room floor. Look at the deleted 'choir' scene on utube - AR will make you cry. (Also, have to totally agree with Caro)."

Maggie Evans

(11-35-2010)

"I love going through the lists and kick myself for not having been able to afford to see them all to be able to judge properly! So far, I'd definitely give something to Viggo Mortensen or The Road and Sam Rockwell for Moon but as I say, I haven't seen them all so who am I to judge? I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed!"

Yasmin

(11-34-2010)

"I'm looking forward to watching the BAFTAs this year. Jonathon Ross was an amazing host last February, and I was so pleased that Kate Winslet and Mickey Rourke won awards. As for these nominees, I've only seen Coco before Chanel, but Broken Embraces and Let the Right One In both look spectacular. Fingers crossed! "

jp

(11-34-2010)

"No Sandra Bullock? "

Caro

(11-34-2010)

"Alan Rickman...he is the sexiest thing god ever created!!!"

Mark

(11-33-2010)

"A real shame not to see any recognition for Is Anybody There? One of the real unappreciated gems of the last year."

Andrew

(11-33-2010)

"Great to see Bright Star recognised so much. It has been snubbed so much this awards season. This great film deserves more recognition"

Maria

(08-41-2010)

"Oh good list!! Me too hope to see Alan Rickman in the final nominations his Severus is amazing."

Maria

(08-39-2010)

""It´s a wondefuI list!! I hope to see Mr Alan Rickman in the final nominations your Severus is gorgeous.""

Marta
