BAFTA’s Chief Executive, Amanda Berry, attended the opening ceremony of the very first China-UK Film and TV conference held at the IoD in London, and was joined at the event by Madame Liu Yandong, China's Vice Premier, and Liu Xiaoming, China's Ambassador to the UK.
As part of the China-UK Year of Cultural Exchange and hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the conference “aims to create a sustainable co-production platform for those working in the film and TV industry, both in China and the UK as well as showcasing some of the best films and TV China has to offer”.
