BAFTA is involved with technology in a number of ways.
Our online awards management platform, BAFTA Nucleus, developed for our own awards and now available to license, simplifies the entry and judging process. With secure, intuitive entry forms, automated online payments and seamless video management for entrants and jurors, ours is an industry-leading platform built on years of hard-earned experience and bespoke development, and we’re proud to share it with awards-giving organisations all over the world.
Our professional and secure, cloud-based media management system, BAFTA Electron, allows anyone involved in the production of film, television and games to upload, encode and share videos – audio, images and documents too – all in one place. Intuitively designed and accessible anywhere, it makes complex workflows easy.
These two products, created in-house by BAFTA Tech, are now available to license.
Staying true to one of the original objectives of the Academy, we also promote and assist research and experimental work.
This led us to explore the impact of VR – virtual reality – on our creative communities as well as BAFTA’s work, and our VR Advisory Group, based in Los Angeles, makes recommendations and showcase the latest inspirational work within this burgeoning realm.
