Now Upload Your Supporting Materials

24 May 13

Thanks for completing the first part of your Breakthrough Brits application. The next stage is to upload the required files. These include:

CV: We require a full, professional CV. This should include a full credit list with the title of the production, your role and the date clearly indicated. This is also where you should tell us about any awards, training or recognition you’ve received that makes you a Breakthrough Brit. Applications submitted without the support of a full, professional CV will not be considered.

Showreel: Just like film and TV showreels, we’d like you to submit a video that show cases relevant material from the games you’ve worked on. This can be anything from a simple highlights package to a video explaining what you did at key points in the game. It doesn’t have to be shiny or slick; we just want a visual CV of your body of work to date. As with film and TV showreels, we want to see evidence of where you have had a leading and impactful role on work and this content should take priority in your showreel.

The video file must be in a format suitable to upload (i.e. .mov). Please check the film specification guide before entering ( click here for details ).

Head Shot: We ask applicants to include a photograph of themselves to accompany their application. This is optional but is useful for administration purposes as an aide memoire. It will not be used as part of the judging process. Accepted file formats include: jpg,png and gif.

Additional Material: If you’d like to include stills of your work then please upload them on the upload page. If you’d like us to play your game to support your application, please submit a separate document detailing how and where to do so. This optional document should include any URLs, access codes or platform notes needed to access the game.

If you have any more questions about the upload process, check the FAQs page for help.
