For the 2023 BAFTA Annual Patron Event we welcomed multi-BAFTA-winning director, screenwriter, and producer James Ivory to BAFTA 195 Piccadilly for an evening celebrating his seminal films that have touched generations of audiences.

James was joined on stage by collaborators including actors Helena Bonham-Carter, Rupert Graves and James Wilby, screenwriter Kazuo Ishiguro, costume designer Jenny Beaven and cinematographer Tony Pierce-Roberts, to explore James’ remarkable career and the classic literary adaptations A Room with a View (1986), Maurice (1987), Howards End (1992) and The Remains of the Day (1993) to the coming-of-age love story Call Me By Your Name (2017) for which he won a BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
