Jack O'Connell

On 29 November 2022, former winner of the EE Rising Star Award Jack O’Connell joined us for a special evening at Mayfair club The Twenty Two. The actor discussed his remarkable career to date, including his earlier roles in popular British TV series This is England and Skins, his Hollywood break in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and recent work on BBC One’s SAS: Rogue Heroes and Netflix’s adaptation of Lady Chatterley’s Lover with film critic and journalist Hanna Flint.

Jack also reflected on his start in acting and how the industry has become even more difficult to access for people at the start of their careers. Jack passionately advocated for access to the arts and emphasised the importance of funding opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
