On 20 March 2023, BAFTA Patrons attended a truly captivating evening with world-renowned director Edgar Wright and BAFTA Awardwinning editor Paul Machliss. Edgar and Paul have worked together for nearly 25 years and collaborated on films such as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Baby Driver, and Last Night in Soho.

Hosted by broadcaster Edith Bowman, the evening took place at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly and gave Patrons an opportunity to learn about the relationship between director and editor, with fascinating anecdotes and technical insights from their wide-ranging catalogue of work.
