Braydon's Story

Braydon entered the BAFTA Kids Young Presenter competition when he was just eight years old, sending in a video he had filmed at home in Manchester with his dad. He was chosen by a panel of practitioners from the world of children’s media as the 2017 winner of the competition, and started his presenting journey covering the red carpet for BAFTA at the British Academy Children’s Awards.

“I’ve had a brilliant time with BAFTA Kids since winning the 2017 Young Presenter competition. I’ve met lots of great people but definitely my highlight was celebrating my ninth birthday by interviewing Dermot O’Leary and Tom Hiddleston for BAFTA. I still get very nervous but this has been an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone.”

A wealth of fantastic opportunities has followed. During his year as a Young Presenter, Braydon has been able to meet and interview film, tv and sports talent, and now presents segments on Sky’s kids’ news programme FYI! He has also appeared on ITV’s Little Big Shots, Blue Peter and other CBBC projects, as well as producing his own videos for his YouTube channel.
